St. John church had some problems because of the special structure of the volume of its main liturgic room. In fact the space of the church was made of two different joined-toghether volumes: the prayers' one and the presbytery one. The former had a rather low roof going down to the bottom of the room. The latter was higher and it had some glass surfaces.

Therefore the acoustic measurment had shown a high time of reverberation, no sound homogeneity and a lot of slow sound reflection which made very few words clear especially near the high altar.

The project took into consideration the future organization of the presbytery space. Besides it settled the reflection panels near the two volumes so the sound was more homogeneous and the first sound reflection set out to the prayers.

Mr. Walter Manara worked with us in the acoustic project while Arch. Susanna Troncon of Imola worked on the general project.
